CRECHE Booking Terms and Conditions

BOOKING

  • Questionnaires are to be returned to Foxcub Childcare before the date of the event or sitting service, with all required information completed.

  • The cost of the creche depends on the number of children and their ages and needs. This will need to be provided 2 weeks before the event, so final costings can be discussed.

  • Once a date has been confirmed, a non-refundable deposit will hold the date of your event. This will not be refundable unless Foxcub Childcare needs to cancel for extremely unlikely unforeseen circumstances.

  • If you would like to change your chosen date or time you should let us know asap.

  • All payments will be agreed upon discussion with a deposit required to hold the date and the remaining balance to be paid as agreed.

  • At times, Teresa may not be able to provide the service in person for reasons beyond her control, for example, if unwell or in the case of an emergency. In this extremely unlikely event, Foxcub Childcare will do its very best to provide you with another trained member of staff as an alternative if you are in agreement.

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

There may be times I request additional sums from you to cover extra expenses, such as travel costs, or additional time not formally agreed upon.

  • Goodie bags can be provided at an extra cost

  • Snacks and drinks for the children can be supplied at an additional cost.

  • Picnic snack bags can be provided at extra cost per child

  • Meet and greet can be arranged before the event, so we can meet the child or children in our care, this will be an additional small charge.

AT THE EVENT

  • Children must be well and show no signs of contagious illness. When attending the creche, if temperature or illness is suspected we will advise parents to collect the child.

  • If a child becomes unwell or won't settle a member of staff will call or text the contact on the questionnaires. Please ensure you keep your phone with you at all times and on silent if need be. Failing this, they will discreetly come and find you.

  • Wedding creches are usually overstaffed due to the unpredictability of timings etc. as we are very aware of the weddings we attend, and the rough timings of events throughout the day are subject to change. We are able to collect children from you, bring them back to you at a specific time for photos, cake cutting and food etc.

    Weddings are very special days, and we like to be as discreet as possible and support the children and families attending in any way needed. Nothing will be too much trouble.

IN CASE OF A FIRE

In case of a fire, the creche staff or nanny will be responsible for taking your child to meet with you at the fire assembly point. All children must be signed in and out when attending a creche at an event to keep track of who is in our care, for obvious safety reasons.

Equipment

Equipment required for children attending FCC creche or Nanny service:

  • Named bag with nappies, wet wipes, snacks, water bottles, comforters or soothers

  • Any medications discussed and approved prior to the event

    • Any medications MUST be clearly labelled with the child’s name, dosage times and amounts

  • Nightwear if needed clearly labelled

    • It is not our responsibility if things go missing and are not clearly labelled.

No messy activities will be in our creches due to the nature of the event, we strive to keep your children as clean as they came in, but this is not always possible. If you are concerned about the clothes your child is wearing, please change them to more suitable clothing to play in if needed.

Safeguarding

We take safeguarding very seriously.

  • It is your responsibility to sign your child in and out of the creche, for your child's safety.

  • You must ensure you or the named contact returns at the time agreed to relieve the Nanny /childcare staff member or double time will be charged and owed.

  • We will not let a child go with someone we have not met and have been clearly labelled as a contact.

  • We will also not let a child go with someone clearly under the influence of drugs or alcohol or clearly unable to be responsible for a child's needs. In this situation, an alternative contact for the child will be contacted to collect as we have a responsibility for your child's well-being.

  • A first aider will always be present at each event.

LEGAL

  • We work on Ofsted ratios of staff to children

  • We hold public liability insurance and details can be provided upon request.

  • DBS checked

Your right to cancel

You can cancel your date at any point, but the deposit will be lost, as it is a nonrefundable deposit.

If you cancel less than four weeks before the date of the event, you will be required to pay 50% of the final balance cost.
